Hi everyone, we have an exciting update we want to share with you!
After all the progress we've made in the past weeks, months and years, we are finally happy to reveal more of the game because it's getting close to what we have always envisioned Kinstrife to look and feel like. It's taken us (quite!) a while to get to this point, both because we really got our heads down in developing (we're a tiny team of just two), and in part because we've just been plain bad at communicating what we've been working on. We're thankful for each and every one of you who's stuck with us despite us being this quiet. Your support and feedback honestly been a source of motivation and drive during some long development stretches!
We will be better at this though, and in this vein we want to let you know that we have made a commitment to keeping you in the loop, much more than we've done in the past. For those of you that haven't joined our Discord yet, you can join that to get juicy updates there first, and to chat with the us, the devs. We're online much of the time and happy to talk game design, history, character physics or any other topic related to Kinstrife! We've also started posting our content on Youtube, and on a weekly basis videos on Youtube Shorts and even TikTok if you're so inclined.
Now we've got that out of the way, we're very excited to share a first look at armed physics-based combat gameplay footage, which many of you have been asking for. It's showcasing a duel to give you a glimpse of what you'll be able to play in the game. We hope you enjoy! ⚔️
We'll keep on sharing more gameplay videos like this on social media, along with more detailed videos of what we've been working on. Sneak peek: We'll soon be showing of our historically accurate equipment layering system, which you're already seeing in action in the video above!
